Pinner Pantomime Evening is one of Pinner’s biggest annual events. It takes place on the last Thursday in November, with 2015 being the Panto’s 18th year.
Oh no it doesn’t! Oh yes it does!
Curiously, Pinner Pantomime Evening does not include a pantomime. Instead it is Pinner’s start to the festive season when traders, schools and community groups all get involved to put on an evening of entertainment in the centre of Pinner. You will however see plenty of pantomime themes throughout the evening, with costumed traders and special window displays, with prizes awarded by the Mayor for the best of each.
Look behind you!
Not just behind you, but all around! At Pinner Pantomime Evening you’ll be surrounded by merriment, with the High Street closed to traffic for the evening and Pinner’s traders dressed up in costume with stalls outside. There are children’s funfair rides and two entertainment stages with a non-stop line up of song and dance from Pinner’s schools.
Flash! Bang! Wallop!
Pinner Pantomime Evening starts with a flash – our Christmas lights being switched on! Best of all, it ends with a big bang – a spectacular fireworks display in Pinner Memorial Park, which is also visible from the High Street.
